We watched closely as Brett and his team completed a renovation for one of our neighbours – we got to see the efficiency of the build schedule and inspect the quality workmanship throughout the process.  They say there is no reference like one from a trusted source so knowing our neighbour was very satisfied with Saltash Homes we got an introduction to Brett to discuss our own renovation concepts and plans.

What immediately drew me to Brett was his honesty and transparency including on detailed cost estimates and schedules, and a wealth of demonstrated experience having renovated many old Queenslanders in the Wynnum Manly area.  In addition, and whilst we had a general design plan and philosophy, Brett and his team were always adding value through pre-empting innovative ways to better build, configure, connect and utilise all spaces.

In essence Brett and his team listened to our dreams and worked closely with us at all stages to turn them into a vision, plans and a physical reality that blows us and all our visitors away when they step into our renovated home – what started as 1 stage 1 storey is now a 4 stage 3 storey renovation that we are immensely proud of.

And most importantly, as we lived in our home throughout the renovation, Brett and his team were always punctual, cordial and respectful toward our family, pets and neighbours.

We have engaged Brett and his team on two major renovation projects in the past couple of years.

The first renovation was a lift and build-in of a 1910 Queenslander in Wynnum which was sympathetic to the era it was originally built.  The build comprised a fully self contained 2 bedroom residence with double garage, internal staircase to the upper level, veranda and decking. 

Brett was instrumental from the outset in guiding us through the project to ensure our ideas came to life from something we had been discussing for 5 years.  His team delivered both a professional and  exceptionally high quality level of service that surpassed our expectations.

We have recently engaged the team on a very run down 110 year old farmhouse. Being seasoned renovators, we are prepared for challenges however we decided that for various reasons the structural changes required were outside our scope  and we needed to bring Bretts team in otherwise we would not have considered taking on such a major renovation.

With the major structural changes now complete we are thrilled with how the farmhouse is taking shape.  The team worked together in a very short timeframe to once again deliver a high quality level of craft.

The team recently built for us a two-bedroom granny ‘villa’ as an extension to our home.
